Antoinette Harrington, PsyD

Dr. Harrington  (She/Her) is a licensed clinical psychologist and senior executive with 20 years in the behavioral health industry.  Most recently, Dr. Harrington served as the Head of Clinical Quality and Excellence for  Vita Health a behavioral health tech start up that offers suicide care and prevention to youth and young adults.  As the former Regional Clinical Director for a national publicly traded behavioral health network, Dr. Harrington not only served on the clinical leadership team but lead the regional practice expansion that brought Lifestance Health into the Maine market launching several new office locations in the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.  

 

Dr. Harrington is a member of PsyPact and has been granted Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) by the PSYPACT Commission. She holds professional licensure in Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island and is able to provide teletherapy to individuals who reside in any of  the compact states under PsyPact.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Rhode Island and her Master of Science and Doctor of Psychology degrees from Antioch University New England.  Dr. Harrington tends towards a compassionate leadership style and utilizes a growth mindset for individual and team motivation.  She is skilled in building, developing and retaining high performing value-based clinical teams focused on clinical quality and positive outcomes. She has a strong track record of driving operational growth through establishing and maintaining partnerships and local referral sources.

 

Throughout her clinical career, Dr. Harrington has specialized in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of child and adolescent trauma ( e.g., physical/sexual abuse, grief, loss) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Dr. Harrington is well versed in an array of brief, evidenced-based treatment approaches (i.e., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Time- limited Dynamic Psychotherapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy) to help children and adults who experience a myriad of social-emotional, interpersonal and behavioral challenges. She has expertise in brief and long- term therapy, individual, child and adolescent psychotherapy, child-centered play therapy, Sandplay therapy, family therapy, parent behavioral management consultation, and adult couples counseling.

Dr. Harrington is also an experienced trainer, supervisor and consultant in the field of child trauma. She served as a trainer, supervisor and consultant for the Dartmouth Trauma Interventions Research Center, and implemented research training protocols in Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to mental health providers across New Hampshire.  She was a guest speaker for Rivier University and provided ongoing continuing education trainings and supervision for The Counseling Center of Nashua. Dr. Harrington also served on the Board of Directors for The Granite State Children’s Alliance providing community outreach and education focused on child abuse prevention and treatment.
